# Postal Codes Dataset for Ecuador (EC)

This dataset contains Ecuadorian postal codes -- 1,225 rows, 24 of 24 provinces and 220 cantons, the real 6-digit CORREOSCODIGO format.

## Data Sources

Place names, postal codes, provinces and cantons are sourced from **GeoNames**. Licensed **CC BY 4.0**.

**Licensing status.** Cleared to sell -- `licence_status.decision: compatible`. See `ATTRIBUTION.txt` for the full attribution notice.

**Coverage note.** 4 of 1,225 rows carry no province in the source itself (historically disputed inter-provincial territory) -- left empty rather than guessed. No parroquia (parish) tier is available from this source.

## Usage

The dataset files are available in CSV format and can be accessed and downloaded using the links provided in the `datapackage.yml`.
